When I began painting “Break Through,” I was imagining a wild ocean scene from C.S. Lewis’ The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. As soon as I laid down the underpainting, though, the canvas began telling a different story. Instead of crashing waves, this piece turned into a breath-taking sunrise over rippling water. Waiting on a break through? Sometimes the outcome is nothing like we imagined it would be when we began, but maybe it’s that much more beautiful because of it.
Oil on Canvas. 30×40 inches, 1.5 inch gallery wrapped depth.
Includes a certificate of authenticity. An archival UV finish protects from chipping, discoloration, or fading over time.
